Moving from dream to realityThe vision for the Brant Hub is a central, welcoming space, nestled within the Brant community.
In 2016, the City of Guelph purchased surplus land from the Upper Grand District School Board to allow for the possible development of the Hub. The park location allows for the hub to be centrally nested in the community it’s designed to serve. Surrounded by green space, the Hub could have an outdoor space for children to play safely, space for community members to connect with nature and an opportunity to build community gardens. Early plans include enhanced pathways, landscaped areas, and extended outdoor programs for all community members to enjoy. If you live in the Brant community, you are invited to drop in and provide your feedback on two conceptual drawings of the Brant Hub. The drawings can be viewed at 35 Algonquin Road, home of the Brant Avenue Neighbourhood Group. You can also provide feedback by submitting the form below. |
